One of the ways that Hulk Hogan became one of the greatest wrestlers in WWE was with his massive physique. His appeal came from the monstrous body that Hogan had achieved. Not only did he use his 24-inch python arms as a selling point, but he showed the public time and again the amazing feats he can muster with this body.

Slamming Andre the Giant at WrestleMania 3 was the highest peak when it came to Hogan’s early career. But this only happened because the audience believed that Hogan could do anything.

Vince McMahon used these tactics to show the main babyface as a monster pinning giant multiple times. But the first individual to copy Hogan’s feat and become popular was the Ultimate Warrior. As he had a bigger physique, McMahon sold the gimmick of Warrior, comparing the two on different occasions.

While talking about steroid use in the ’80s, the Ultimate Warrior said, “But bodybuilding and wrestling are more circus-like, people want to see the ‘freaks’… If I had to relate anything to the lifestyle, it would be to point out how the demands of being a pro-wrestler differ from the lifestyle of other organized sports pro-athletes.

“Also, this is probably a big contributing factor to how guys get messed up. You basically travel alone, and as long as you make it to the building to have your match. You don’t answer anyone about what you do.

The Ultimate Warrior and Hulk Hogan match at WrestleMania would become a start to many things. It was the first time two belts were on the line in the exact match in WWE. Also, it witnessed the first ever wrestler to hold two championships in the history of WWE. And lastly, this was the first time that two good guys fought each other at the main event.
