Well, Mr. McMahon believes the audience loves a character and the action in the ring. So today, Vince McMahon appeared on the Pat McAfee Show. He finally opened up on the real reason these wrestlers are called ‘Superstars.’

Mr. McMahon stated, “The reason I call them superstars and not just wrestlers is because anyone can wrestle, either poorly or well. So again, back to branding, marketing, do you want to be a professional wrestler, or do you want to be a WWE Superstar?” 

“WWE Superstar sounds a whole lot better to me than being a professional wrestler,” the WWE CEO concluded.

Furthermore, The Big Man explained that character plays an essential factor in the WWE. To elaborate on his reasons, Vince McMahon gave an example of The Undertaker. In addition, we know The Phenom has left a legacy on the WWE Universe for his deadly persona.

The Big Man appreciates show business and stagecraft!

Vince McMahon has seen many professional wrestlers sticking to their persona in the ring. However, on WWE TV, when acting skills enhance wrestling moves and actions, it does have an extraordinary effect on the audience.

“You have to have acting talent or reacting talent. You have to have this ability to really want to grow. Because in our environment, you grow. I believe if you’re not growing, you’re dying,” Mr. McMahon said.

He further added, “You have to have that desire when you come into really want to be everything you can be. And if it’s a character, get into it. Be that character when you’re in the ring.”

Ultimately, WWE Owner Vince McMahon joked about not being in character outside the ring pointing at Pat McAfee. However, the Big Man understands that a quality of a human being and enormous talent for acting can give the best result inside the squared circle.
