In the modern wrestling era, there have been few off-screen feuds similar to the Ryback-WWE saga. Following his release from WWE in 2016, Ryback has constantly accused the WWE of exploiting his likeliness and that the company has refused to hand him the trademark for his own name. The saga began in 2020 when former CEO Vince McMahon was still in charge of WWE.
