Since Cody Rhodes walked out to the ring and handed his spot for the main event of WrestleMania 40 to Dwayne Johnson, fans have been up in arms. Showering WWE’s social media with their thoughts, fans have made it clear that they hate it. Despite having a stare-down on SmackDown, it turns out Johnson vs. Roman Reigns has not materialized into an official match.
The WWE may still have time to fix the Dwayne Johnson mess in Las Vegas
As expected, this WWE Monday Night RAW episode saw fans chanting anti-Rock slogans and how they wanted Rhodes. While the WWE has not yet addressed the issue, something was mentioned during the show that caught viewers watching at home off-guard.

During this episode of Monday Night RAW, Michael Cole was heard saying, “Though not yet official, it appears The Rock & Roman Reigns are on a collision course perhaps at #WrestleMania.” This indicates that despite Rhodes and Johnson shaking hands in the ring, Rhodes could still find a way to finish his story.

While the WWE is indeed in a mess with the WrestleMania situation, there are certain hints and clues that they themselves could be pushing this matter forward. It was reported that the WWE was handing out WeWantCody signs to people before tonight’s show. While it is unclear what the intention behind this is, many think this is all to build up the hype for Mania.
How the WWE could use the anti-Rock hate to their benefit
While many fans are sure that WrestleMania 40’s main event will have Johnson vs Reigns, there are some who believe differently. There are some who claim that this may change after the Elimination Chamber. The theory by the WWE Universe is that we will get Rhodes vs Reigns this year at Mania.

Many have pointed out the inclusion of Rhodes on the 2k24 game cover and the tag being ‘Finish your story.’ This was all decided after Johnson made his appearance and called out Reigns on the Day #1 Edition of RAW.
