Dwayne Johnson had to reconnect with his wrestling self when he returned to WWE this year. Although the WWE legend was never completely out of shape, he had to hone his wrestling skills once again before entering the ring with three of the biggest stars in the pro wrestling industry. As a result, Johnson created a training camp for himself, similar to the ones you’ll see in sports like boxing or MMA.

Along with wrestling training, the Hollywood superstar is also walking an extra mile to train his body better for WrestleMania XL this weekend. Here’s the routine that he has revealed on social media.

Before going to induct his grandmother, Lia Maivia, into the Hall of Fame batch of 2024, Johnson revealed to his fans that he has been on a “crazy” diet because of WrestleMania. In an Instagram video, he said, “The diet has been intense. I’m carb-depleted, fat-depleted, sodium-depleted, and water-depleted, today as well.

Apart from following a high-protein, lean diet, The Rock has also been training his physique harder than before. He pushed past all of his limits for the biggest WrestleMania of all time. His 12-week training camp, which is coming to an end this weekend, included two supersets. He posted an uncut video showcasing the exercises as follows:

There was no specific rest timing between each exercise. However, Johnson was strict about the 2-minute rest that he took in between the supersets. Although he usually repeated these sets twice, for one final time, to wrap up his tiring training and diet, he pitched in a bonus set and an extra exercise.

Dwayne Johnson’s strength is no joke

Even long before Johnson started training for WrestleMania XL, he has been keeping his physique and strength in check. The retired pro wrestler is one of the heaviest-lifting wrestlers in WWE currently. His strength was at par with most of the new generation’s talent.

If you are pondering upon the same question, Johnson can bench a whopping 450 Lbs. Although what weight he uses every day for the same exercise is a mystery, this is the highest that the wrestler has claimed to have gone.
