WWE promos are fully scripted. This made Knight a little uncomfortable while executing his lines while trading barbs with Miz. ‘The Defiant One’ claimed he likes being old-school and improvising during promo deliveries. According to him, unscripted promos bring out the purest and most raw form of emotions which help to connect with the audience on a deeper level.

Since Knight had to recite his script verbatim, he felt his promos lacked depth. Therefore, it caused him to get discontented and unhappy. Despite all, he acknowledged he had a great time working with The Miz. He also admitted that his storyline with ‘The Awesome One’ nudged him in the direction of being the fastest-rising star in SmackDown’s history.
