WrestleMania XL: John Cena Reportedly Set to Appear With Dwayne Johnson’s Two Former Rivals in Philadelphia

WrestleMania XL is just around the corner, and the grandest stage of them all has all kinds of surprises planned for it. Last year, fans saw the likes of Snoop Dogg and Shane McMahon returning, and before that Stone Cold Steve Austin made his presence felt on the main event of Night 1. While rumors of John Cena returning this year at ‘Mania stays afloat.

However, this year, WWE is planning to take things even higher with the inclusion of two former rivals of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. The Rock returned earlier this year and inserted himself in The Bloodline arc against Cody Rhodes. Now, claiming himself as the final boss, he might come face to face with two iconic opponents of his at ‘Mania this year.

Which two WWE Legends are reportedly set to return this year alongside John Cena?

Celebrating 40 years of WrestleMania, WWE has to plan something special. While, for the 30th anniversary it was Hulk Hogan, The Rock, and Stone Cold that returned, this year, two of those names can be recurring.

While, The Rock is confirmed for WrestleMania XL, The Texas Rattlesnake is also reportedly set to appear. The Undertaker is also rumored to return for a brief segment. A report from Dave Meltzer stated, “Nothing is official but the belief right now is that Steve Austin, Undertaker and John Cena will have something at WrestleMania in some form.”

It further said, “A lot depends on how much they are willing to do and money. Cena is free but depending on what acting stuff he has and how quick after he’s filming would determine how much he can or can’t do for insurance reasons. Austin and Undertaker would be based on willingness that they have.”

While John Cena’s appearance is based on his schedule, the same cannot be said for Austin and The Undertaker. Fans need to wait and see if these legends at all appear, or if these reports just turn out to be rumors.

Fans currently find The Rock engaged in a feud against Cody Rhodes alongside The Bloodline. Several recent reports emerged stating that The Rock might continue in WWE even after WrestleMania XL. While there are no latest reports of his upcoming filming schedule, fans wonder if The Rock vs Roman feud will ignite at ‘Mania.

 

WWE is scheduled to visit Saudi Arabia in May, and fans wonder if The Rock will take on Roman there. Nothing is confirmed as of now, and all of these are just rumors. However, as the storyline progresses, we will keep fans updated.
