The December 18, 2023 episode of Monday Night Raw is already riding high live from Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa, United States. WWE has sweetened the pot with several riveting matches and segments for tonight on the road to Royal Rumble 2024 while pitting The Judgment Day as the Kickstarter of the night.

However, soon after the opening promo, R Truth stole the spotlight. He had an intense verbal battle with JD McDonagh before identifying the overflowing bad blood between them. To settle the score, he proposed a Miracle on 34th Street Fight, and boom; the ‘Loser leaves The Judgment Day’ fight began shortly.

While the two fierce opponents were busy uprooting each other from the scene with a series of moves and maneuvers, Truth did a heart-melting thing. When McDonagh tried to cut him off looking for the Five Knuckle Shuffle, Truth retreated uttering the iconic John Cena phrase ‘You can’t see me’.

His way of honoring his childhood hero was outright impressive. Truth won the fight by pinfall with a belly-to-belly suplex through a table, knocking JD out of Judgment Day and the show continues to march on with scintillating momentum.

Regardless of what you feel about The Champ, there’s no denial in the fact that he’s a generational star, transitioning from era to era and keeping on inspiring mullions to follow in his golden footsteps. WWE 24/7 Champion R Truth is also one among them who has been looking up to Cena since his childhood.

Hence, he barely missed any chance to pay respect to his idol. Back in a 2020 Hell in a Cell kick-off show, he defeated Drew Gulak with ease.

During the battle, Truth escaped an attack from his opponent, hitting him with a Cena-esque shoulder block.

Despite being five years older than Cena, the 51-year-old’s admiration for John Cena was indeed good to watch even if it’s not exceptional.
