WWE Legend Showers a Ton of Praise on Goldberg: “He Represented the Business So Well”

There’s something that’s extremely common between WWE Superstars, regardless of whether they are on good terms or not. All of them hold immense respect for each other and what they’ve contributed to the business. Some of them are Ric Flair, Goldberg, and others.

During his podcast, Ric Flair spoke about ‘The Icon’ and what he really thinks of him.

“He represented the business so well.”

Moreover, ‘The Nature Boy’ revealed that even to this day, he believes Goldberg is one of the best people in the business.

“Thank God they were smart enough to run with it as long as they did. They could have gone with Bill [Goldberg] force. Bill’s another guy that was thrown into the fire without time to really develop his skills. I will say this, as many times as he kicked my head off or drilled me, he’s one of the nicest guys in the business. And, he’s remained nice. However, there was something Flair warned ‘The Icon’ about.

‘The Nature Boy’ believes that ‘The Icon’ needs to always be ready for a match as long as he’s under contract with WWE.

He revealed that there was a time when Vince McMahon called him a week before a match. Up until that point, even though Goldberg was working out, he wasn’t working out as a pro-wrestler.

Considering his aging, Flair warned Goldberg to be careful with the matches and the extended breaks. It’s not always easy for a veteran to go back to wrestling after taking an extended break.

‘The Icon’ is yet to have his final match

The last time Goldberg competed in WWE was against Bobby Lashley at Crown Jewel in 2021. He demolished The Almighty with a spear off the ramp and left the arena. Since then, he hasn’t been around WWE.

Now, it’s unknown exactly when he plans to come back. However, it’s evident that he will come back since he’s got at least one match left on his contract, if not more.
