WWE Legend Triple H Announces WALTER vs Ilja Dragunov II at NXT TakeOver 36

WWE doesn’t have a lot of intense blood feuds going on right now. However, it’s not the complete reality as NXT UK has had one of the most gripping storylines in the brand’s history last year. NXT UK Champion WALTER and Ilja Dragunov took each other to the limits in a terrific 5-star match last October.
The two were set to square off on the 22nd July, 2021, episode of NXT UK. However, a backstage altercation between the two led to WALTER suffering a hand injury. And hence, they called-off the match. WWE did not reveal when the two would face next at the time, but now they have!

WALTER and Ilja Dragunov set to steal the show at NXT TakeOver 36
During this week’s edition of NXT UK, William Regal, Triple H, and Shawn Michaels addressed the situation between WALTER and Ilja Dragunov. HBK said they were disappointed just like the rest of the world to find out about WALTER’s injury.
However, Triple H revealed they’ve had some intense discussions with NXT UK General Manager Johnny Saint to find a solution. Regal added that Dragunov and WALTER’s rivalry has been the fiercest and most aggressive in not just NXT history, but in all of pro wrestling history.

WWE announced NXT TakeOver; 36 during this week’s episode of NXT. While no match was announced for NXT US, the first match on the card happens to be from NXT UK and we’re more than happy; We’re super excited! WALTER and Ilja Dragunov go a long way! The two had an intense match before their arrival in WWE, and they showed how great they work together last year.
