According to reports by Sean Ross Sapp, WWE is in talks with a former champion. to appear on the Day 1 edition of RAW. Sources have claimed that the company is “on the one-yard line” in securing the said talent. When asked whether it is someone from their active roster or someone who has retired in the past, the company did not provide any comment on the question. As for now, the only thing revealed by the sources is that the said talent is a ‘former WWE champion’.

As for now, the card for the next week’s Raw is star-studded. Four matches have been confirmed for the episode. This includes, Seth Rollins’s title defense against Drew McIntyre, Becky Lynch and Nia Jax settling their score in a one-on-one match, Rhea Ripley defending her title against Ivy Nile, and Tegan Nox & Natalya vs Shayna Bazsler and Zoey Stark in a number one contender’s match (WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship).
