Philadelphia Eagles football star Jason Kelce has officially retired. The NFL stalwart made millions of fans emotional and bow in respect to his spectacular 13-year-long career. Interestingly, WWE Superstar Rey Mysterio is also a big Jason Kelce fan. Moreover, this admiration goes both ways and Kelce also loves the mighty Luchador.
Rey Mysterio is known for always creating a heart-to-heart connection with the WWE Universe each time he picks up the mic to speak. Establishing the connection with Jason Kelce this time, the high-flying pro wrestler reignited a nostalgic vibe. In fact, he even invited Kelce to WrestleMania XL in Philadelphia to recreate an iconic moment.

Despite a disappointing end to his on-field career, Jason Kelce’s retirement speech on March 4 was a standout moment in sports history. Now NFL Mexico has recently added a post on Instagram where Mysterio is addressing his retirement.

He stated, “What’s going on, Jason? This is Rey Mysterio. You actually wore one of my masks after the Super Bowl. Well, it wasn’t my mask. It was Elijah’s mask, the eighth-grade kid from Dallas, and it had the eyes and the falcons. And you were rocking, having a good time.” He did acknowledge Jason Kelce wearing a similar mask given to a fan.

Additionally, Mysterio also noticed he enjoyed wearing it. But he also joked about Elijah the fan wanting his mask back.
“But anyway, I just wanted to congratulate you on such a blessed and successful career. Thank you very much for 13 years of hard knocks football, and may God keep blessing you with whatever is next in life,” continued Mysterio.
Numerous WWE Superstars watched the high-stakes Super Bowl LVIII, celebrating the Kansas City Chiefs’ victory. The game took place on 11th February. Jason Kelce notably joined the festivities, dancing while sporting a Rey Mysterio mask. Hence further in the video, Mysterio offered to get something special.

As the video progressed Mysterio went on to offer him something sweet. He asked Kelce to attend WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia.

“And I have to say, the mask fits you perfectly. Now we gotta get you an original one in the Philly colors. Yeah! Let’s go, Jason! Wait. WrestleMania is in April, and it’s in Philadelphia. Let’s get you that Philly mask in Philly for WrestleMania. Booyaka! God bless, Jason,” claimed Mysterio.
