John Cena invoked his right to become a special referee for a match

Last night’s WWE Payback event had a match where LA Knight defeated The Miz. John Cena, who was tasked with hosting duties, acted as the special referee for this match. Cena came into the ring after the first match of the night and said his job as the host was to make the event special. He acted on his promise by inserting himself as the referee for The Miz vs. LA Knight match. The Miz came out to argue with Cena in typical fashion but the match began shortly after.
