On this Sunday, Charlotte Flair will fight in a triple threat match with Rhea Ripley and Nikki A.S.H at SummerSlam 2021. She would be looking forward to reclaiming her title from Nikki.

Keeping Flair’s history at the biggest event of summer in mind, this could be a cakewalk for her. ‘The Queen‘ is one of the very few people to have a flawless 100% success rate at the event.

Sunday’s appearance would be the fifth SummerSlam for Flair. Her SummerSlam debut was back in 2015 when Team PCB (Paige, Charlotte, and Becky Lynch) defeated Team B.A.D. (Naomi, Sasha Banks, and Tamina) and Team Bella (The Bella Twins and Alicia Fox).

The following year, Charlotte defeated Sasha Banks to win the RAW Women’s Championship. This was a rematch, and by winning this, Flair became a two-time RAW Women’s Champion.

After this, Flair did not appear on the PPV for two years. She made her return in 2018 as a contender in a triple threat match with Carmella and Becky Lynch for the SmackDown Women’s title. After she defeated everyone, Lynch attacked Flair and turned heel.

Going into SummerSlam 2019, Charlotte found herself to be in a feud with the WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus. This was the latter’s second retirement match, and Stratus got a standing ovation from the crowd.

Her undefeated streak is definitely an added confidence boost for Flair. While she has faced Rhea Ripley in a PPV, this would be Flair’s first match against Nikki A.S.H. in a PPV.

Flair won the RAW Women’s Champion from Ripley at Money in the Bank. However, on the following night on RAW, Ms. Money in the Bank Nikki A.S.H. rushed to cash the contract on Flair after she was beaten up by Ripley. Nikki won the title from Flair that night.

Flair had always maintained that Nikki does not deserve to be the champion despite losing to her on RAW. While Ripley and Flair were fighting about who would be facing Nikki, WWE officials Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville made the match into a triple-threat one.

This would be Ripley’s first appearance on SummerSlam and Nikki’s second. The latter previously defended her Women’s Tag Team titles with Alexa Bliss against the Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane) at the 2019 event.
