Fans are just hours away from the Rumble to begin. Tonight, fans will see many historic clashes before the thirty men and women battle royale will begin. While the speculations are high for the 2024 Royal Rumble, another word that was traveling around the town. It has been heavily rumored that Hulk Hogan might possibly return to the WWE ring after almost 12 years. And it looks like WWE might have just dropped a hint for the same.
Is Hulk Hogan returning for the Royal Rumble?
A clip shared by Paul “Triple H” Levesque on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) is a potential hint at Hulk Hogan’s potential WWE return. In the clip, Hogan is seen narrating a cold open for the upcoming Royal Rumble. In the clip, The Hulkster could be seen sharing his history with the popular Premium Live Event along with tonight’s venue, St. Petersburg, Florida.

Hogan’s last match with WWE was back in 2006. Following that, he was seen at the TNA /Impact Wrestling. His last appearance in the ring was back in 2012. Since then, he took retirement from pro wrestling and hasn’t fought since then.

The rumors started doing the rounds when Hogan himself dropped the hint recently. He said, “I’m glad you guys are having a good time. Is anybody going to the Royal Rumble? Somebody told me I might get number 30.”
However, fans might have to wait for a few more hours to find out whether Hogan will show up at the Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg. But fans could still remember one of the most memorable moments from his career that happened at the 1989 Royal Rumble.

Hulk Hogan has been with WWE for a very long time. During this time, he has been at the main event of many premium live events including the first WrestleMania and many Royal Rumbles. However, fans witnessed a moment during the 1989 Royal Rumble that changed the trajectory of Hogan’s storyline.

During the night of the company’s second Rumble, Hogan entered the ring at number 18, while his friend and tag team partner, Randy Savage entered the ring at number 15. However, things quickly took a 180 turn when Hogan accidentally ended up eliminating Savage. Fans had noticed some tensions between the two, even though they were good friends.
