Sami Zayn came back to WWE SmackDown with his tirade against WWE on Friday (7/16). He claimed WWE has been conspiring against him for over a year. However, ‘The Prince’ of WWE, Finn Balor, returned to teach Zayn a lesson for the best.
Zayn tried to get the WWE Universe on his side as he urged them to make their voices heard with a “Justice for Sami” chant. When that failed. ‘The Great Liberator‘ retaliated by insulting the sold-out live crowd at Toyota Center in Huston, Texas.

He claimed until the briefcase was lowered down and handed to him, Zayn won’t let the show go on. Then, out of nowhere, the first-ever Universal Champion and two-time NXT Champion Finn Balor returned to SmackDown.
Zayn tried to ‘welcome’ him to the SmackDown roster, but ‘The Prince‘ was not having any of it. He quickly attacked Zayn and dropped him with the Coup de grâce.
This was Balor’s first main roster appearance since 2019. He was last seen on the main roster at SummerSlam 2019 as Bray Wyatt defeated him.

Sami Zayn’s usual opponents are all busy in the Money in the Bank ladder match. Balor could serve as the new opponent for him, but his true target lies somewhere else.
Balor has been fighting the ‘dark forces’ for a long time. His last match in WWE was the NXT Title rematch against Karrion Kross on May 25. Then, he took a two-month hiatus from television and returned to SmackDown on Friday.
