Moreover, this comes at a stage where the Rock has just suffered a loss of $60,000,000 with the XFL, adding more weight to his act of kindness. This kind act encapsulates Johnson’s wholesome personality.

But how did this relationship between celebrities of different worlds materialize in the first place?

Gorimbo’s financial difficulties proved to be the catalyst for Johnson’s entry into his life

Gormibo had outlined his financial constraints to the public shocking the combat world. Johnson was quick to respond by resharing the post and ensuring having the fighter’s back.

The shout-out helped the 32-year-old auction his fighting short. This enabled him to make money that he used to build a well, for access to clean water in his village in Zimbabwe, earning the respect of The Rock.

The Rock could clearly resonate with the African’s condition as he too once had just 7 bucks with him and faced similar hurdles and challenges in his life. Taking a look at Gorimbo’s unreal sacrifice of helping his village rather than buying a house for himself, Johnson offered him guidance and support.

With the newfound support and long-term commitment from Dwayne Johnson, Thempa Gorimbo will look to propel his abilities and advance his UFC career to greater heights.
