Stone Cold Steve Austin Shares Unheard Story of WWE Legend During His Iconic Match With Kane

The attitude era in WWE featured some of the greatest moments in wrestling history. The rating war with WCW had given the freedom to the WWE superstars to go to any extent to get those ratings up. Some classic moments from the attitude era are the rise of Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock, The Undertaker vs Mankind (Mick Foley) Hell in a Cell match, Kane’s monstrous debut, etc.
During the attitude era, every wrestler had the opportunity to shine. Even today, the WWE Universe remembers almost every wrestler from the roster of the attitude ERA.

Austin, who nowadays is around in most of the interviews and podcasts, where he shares his stories with the fans. Recently, he was in an interview where he was discussing his first blood match with Kane for the WWE Championship. The match in which Kane won his first WWE World title.
Stone Cold Steve Austin, in his way of narrating the story, said how his main event match was not at that level as of the semi-main event match of The Undertaker vs Mankind that night. He has massive respect for their match.
Austin had caught a staph infection a few days back and directly came to PPV after discharge. He didn’t have a problem wrestling this match as the match was with Kane and he enjoyed working with him.

Stone Cold appreciated and praised Kane, he said, “Kane was easy to work with, anyway. Super-strong, he was very over. All his stuff looked great, felt great. He didn’t always kill you. I always liked working with Kane.”
All wrestling legends regard Kane as the safest wrestler to work with, of all times.
Stone Cold’s Steve Austin best memory of that match
During the storyline of Austin and Kane, the WWE title was a focus between Undertaker and Mankind too. All four were determined to become the world champion.
Kane won that match when Mankind and The Undertaker interfered in the match. The Undertaker gave a big boot to the chair Austin was holding in his hands to hit The Undertaker. That move caused blood to come out of Austin’s head and Kane won, as per the stipulation. The Undertaker and Mankind also had their legendary match on the same night earlier.

Although, Mankind was with bruises all over his body after his match with The Undertaker earlier that night, still came out to interfere. Austin shared this memory of Mankind from the match.
“One of the things that I always remember about that match was all the devastation that Mick Foley put his body through and him having to come down and interfere in my match, take a Stone Cold Stunner.”

However, it is no question that Mankind aka Mick Foley is the Hardcore Legend. He has put his body through everything for the entertainment of wrestling fans. That night Mick Foley stole the show in a way that some fans don’t even remember Austin vs Kane’s world title match in the main event.
