Whatever Dwayne Johnson touches, it turns to gold. So when his $15 million XFL investment suffered a $60 million blow, it came as a shock to many people across the world. Forbes was the first media company to break out this news to the world.

Despite the loss, Dany Garcia, the chairwoman of XFL and his ex-wife, remains optimistic about their investment, claiming that XFL will hit a few bumps on the road before becoming a financial success.

Garcia sat down for an interview with Jabari Young from Forbes to discuss the XFL’s return on investment. She said, “So there’s the actual return on investment, right? And we know with any startup league you got that J-curve. This is three to five years, right? That’s the technical books [and] that we all understand.” She stated it will take some time for the XFL league to start showing up ROIs as any other business project does.

In order to become a financially successful league, XFL will have to go through some losses, she claimed. Considering the fact that two of the most successful businesspersons run the league, the chances of XFL succeeding long-term appear bright.

Even ‘The Great One’ is pretty optimistic about his refurbished football league and has full faith in its ultimate success.

Johnson has high hopes for XFL

While speaking to Forbes magazine in June, Johnson released a bold statement on his XFL loss. He stated XFL is a legacy and that a few setbacks are not going to stop him from turning it into a successful business venture. It is not only a business project for him but also his lifelong dream.

He has full faith that XFL will become a tremendous success in the long run. For that, he has already set plans into motion. The first step he took was to hold a seven-hour-long meeting to discuss strategic and innovative plans to lead his league of opportunity to succeed.

‘The People’s Champion’ is not the one to give up on his dream. He wanted to become a footballer when he was young, but the circumstances were not in his favor. But now he has made it his motive to fulfill the dreams of young athletes and help them build a career in this sport.
