The Miami Heat are really in contention to make a deep playoff run this season. The Heat did not even make the postseason last year. But now, they are one of the dark horses in the Eastern Conference. Undeniably, a huge chunk of the credit can go to Jimmy Bulter for his tremendous leadership.
While one may argue that Bulter is not in his best-ever form for this season, it isn’t the bigger picture. Others might say that Bam Adebayo’s breakthrough season in the NBA might be the reason behind Miami’s incredible success this year. While all that might just be true, the case for Butler deserving the most credit is very much worthy.

It is not as if Jimmy Bulter has stayed with the Heat for several years and has finally made them a proper competitive team. He did not have time to establish himself with the team, coming off a rough run with the Philadelphia 76ers in the previous year.
It is not hard to acknowledge that Jimmy Butler has transformed the Heat with his straight-forward leadership style. If you’re still on the fence about it, hear what Jimmy’s teammate had to say about his leadership.
Players in the Miami Heat love Jimmy Butler for the way he is
When you have a leader in your team, you can’t expect him to be soft, can you? A tough yet motivating floor general is what keeps a team going in difficult situations. That’s exactly how Jimmy Butler operates as a player. He stands up for his teammates against opponents, any day, any time. But if his teammates don’t do their job properly, he’ll be the first one to let them know.
Goran Dragic aka ‘The Dragon,’ has been in Miami since 2015. The Heat’s 6’3” point guard made an appearance on the recent episode of ‘The Woj Pod.’ While the two were discussing the current Heat team, Jimmy Butler came into the conversation and Dragic explained why his leadership suits the team very well.

“If you feel something you need to get off your chest, you need to tell a player in his face. It’s not argument,” Dragic said. “You tell him, you accept it and you move on. And that’s how you’re dealing with those situations. And Jimmy’s one of those players,” he informed.
“If you’re not doing your job, he’s going to call you out. As professional players, we need that,” Dragic mentioned. “He’s our leader. Everybody knows that there is nothing personal.”

“He’s open, he’s honest and what he thinks he kind of says it if its good or not. He’s not changing faces. It is something that you rarely see in this league,” Dragic added.
Butler has truly inspired Miami to establish themselves as a force to be reckoned with. The 3x NBA champions currently stand fourth in the eastern conference table, with one seeding game left in their schedule.
