“Want the ball in my hands” – Russell Wilson Raring To Go Ahead Of 2020 Season

Russell Wilson is on a mission in 2020. The Seattle Seahawks ended the regular season with an 11-5 record. They won their wildcard playoff game against Carson Wentz’s Philadelphia Eagles before crashing out in the divisional playoff game against the Green Bay Packers. Despite that setback, Pete Carroll will be confident that his team can outperform themselves and make the Super Bowl this year with ease.
A major chunk of that responsibility will fall on the shoulders of veteran quarterback Russell Wilson. Wilson has been with the Seahawks since 2012 and is regarded as one of the top quarterbacks in the league at the moment. Here’s what Dange’Russ’ Wilson had to say about his team’s short-term objectives heading into the 2020 season.

“At the end of the day I want the ball in my hands. I want to be able to make plays and give us a chance to win. That doesn’t always mean me chucking it around, but it does mean that the more times I have the ball in my hands, the more things I think can happen. I think the defense worries about that too,” Russel said.
“I think the reality is early in games, rather than us have it be in the fourth quarter, I think to be able to make some stuff happen and I think we have a crazy stat of the lead, I think 56-0 when we have the lead by halftime. Getting ahead is a key thing. I do definitely believe in finishing strong. We have won a lot of games in the fourth quarter and been able to do some fun things in the fourth and end of games. But let’s treat every quarter as the fourth. I think that’s kind of my mentality,” Wilson told NFL Network on Thursday.

Mr. Unlimited had a pass completion rate of 66.1 and threw for 4,000+ yards in 2019. He will look to build on that display this season. Pete Carroll will be banking on Wilson to come through with shining colors if they intend to make the playoffs, and maybe even the Super Bowl.
