AEW Announces the Major Signing of Former WWE Superstar
AEW fans were treated to some great news earlier today. The promotion announced on its social media platforms that Superstar Tay Conti had just signed a contract and was now a permanent Superstar.
Many fans may not know it, but Conti wasn’t officially an AEW Superstar until today. Even though she’s had appearances on the shows, she wasn’t under a Superstar contract.

From now on, with this contract, we can expect big things from the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu specialist. She is set to have a major role with one of AEW’s best factions right now. She has already been booked to fight Nyla Rose on the next episode of Dynamite.
Apparently, AEW writers have discussed the possibility of her link-up with Anna Jay by joining the Dark Order. Brodie Lee’s cryptic faction is the new force in AEW.
This would make sense since Conti teamed up with Jay back in June for AEW’s tag team tournament. The pair made it all the way to the semi-finals before getting eliminated.
WWE did not use Tay Conti to her potential
As Taynara Conti, she was in WWE NXT before joining AEW. Conti didn’t get much of a chance to prove herself due too the amount ion talent in the division.

Unfortunately, she was released from the brand as apart of the company’s budget cuts in April. This was to deal with the shortage of revenues brought about by the pandemic.
In WWE, Conti will go down as the page unturned. However, the story is completely different for AEW. The company may have just tapped into a lot of potential.

Tay Conti is set to become the next addition in the long list of former WWE Superstars to join AEW. Cody, Jon Moxley, Brodie Lee, Chris Jericho, and Matt Sydal most recently are names that come to mind.
So far, Conti has been very impressive and has shown us a wide range of skills we never saw in WWE. As soon as AEW gets her working on something, I don’t doubt she’ll exceed expectations.
