After Silverstone, Sebastian Vettel Visits Waste Management Facility to Seek More Knowledge

Sebastian Vettel took a stand for the environment on Sunday. In a heartwarming gesture, he stayed back after his DNF at the British GP to pick up the litter left by the fans on the grandstands. The four-time world champion spent hours clearing trash from the stands. He has been very outspoken about environmental concerns about sustainability. Last Sunday, Vettel showcased a beautiful example of practice what you preach.
Sebastian said, “It is important that we all respect the environment and not rely on other people to clean up behind us.”

Vettel didn’t stop there; after a tiresome evening on the stands, he went to Grundon Waste Management facilities to learn about recycling the next morning. The German saw how waste recycling is managed, and how items that can’t be recycled get incinerated.

The anti-litter drive at Silverstone involved a group of fans helping Vettel clean the trash left by around 140,000 spectators. Even after a disappointing race, nothing could interfere with Seb and his drive to create a better world.
