Craig Boynton has been a tennis coach since 1993. He has coached the likes of Jim Courier, Mardy Fish, and John Isner. He coached former World No.1, Jim Courier, for two years. Furthermore, he worked with former USA number one John Isner. Boynton also coached Steve Johnson. Boynton hails from Ohia, USA, and is an avid baseball fan as well.

“I think if you look at him, people have said he kind of mirrors, Andy Murray, with a similar routine on returns, a little bit of a similar backhand“He’s a little taller than Andy. Andy’s movement was phenomenal. But Hubi’s a very good athlete, too,” Boynton said.
Boynton sees a different spark in Hurkacz. The coach sees the visible difference between when he started coaching Hurkacz. He admires his professionalism and work ethic.

“The work and improvements here and there are great, but his willingness to want to come back the next day after something bad happens with a good attitude and that he is willing to work and willing to be coached, that is what I admire the most.”
Hurkacz turned pro in 2015, and a major improvement that he would want to see now is a better Grand Slam performance. Craig Boynton might continue the upward trend with Hurkacz and produce a worthy Grand Slam performance.
