Twitch banned Félix “xQc” Lengyel from the platform for a week for breaching competitive guidelines. While he is one of the most popular streamers on the network, he has had his share of controversies and bans. In fact, the latest one is the streamer’s third ban of the year.
Twitch found xQc and a couple of other streamers guilty of misconduct for stream sniping at a GlitchCon Twitch Rivals Event. The team, led by xQc, was successful in eliminating another team comprising DrLupo, Shroud, and Tyler1. Their happiness was rather short-lived as they failed to convert this into a victory. Moreover, xQc also received a six-month ban from events by Twitch and also had to forfeit all associated winnings.
The community stood divided on this issue. His honest patrons felt that the sanctions that were imposed were rather harsh. On the flip side, others felt like a more severe ban would’ve served better to get the message across.
