Respawn Entertainment greeted Apex Legends fans with the much-anticipated Aftermarket Collection Event last week. Along with the exciting additions, the update incorporated balancing changes to the legend meta.

Pathfinder mains were delighted as their favorite robot finally received some improvements. However, the celebrations were cut short after players discovered a frustrating Pathfinder bug. The glitch occurred upon using the robot’s tactical ability.

Whenever players used Pathfinder’s grapple, it left a huge chunk of the character’s shoulder on the screen’s right side, regardless of whichever skin they had equipped. The pesky glitch made it difficult for players to see by blocking a part of their screen.

Some players eventually devised a temporary workaround for the bug. Vaulting over an object or climbing onto a wall would eliminate the bug, but it was far from a convenient fix. Therefore, a hotfix has finally arrived that addresses the troublesome Pathfinder bug.

Apex Legends patch addresses several issues, including Pathfinder’s bugged shoulder

Respawn rolled out a patch yesterday, addressing some issues that had seeped through the Aftermarket Collection Event update. As a result, players can now use Pathfinder’s grapple without his shoulder clogging their screens.

The latest patch also addresses two other issues. A bug rendered Crypto unable to use weapons when triggering his EMP ultimate while not in drone mode. Respawn has resolved this issue now. Meanwhile, the final fix centers on the HUD elements. The devs have moved Performance Display, so it doesn’t overlap with kills or assists on-screen in ranked mode.

Overall, this patch should come as good news for Pathfinder and Crypto mains. Now that the devs have fixed the glitches, players can jump into the action as their favorite legend, with no issues.

The devs had promised to buff Pathfinder, and the Aftermarket patch did just that. The cooldown on Pathfinder’s grapple now reflects the distance he travels. While it reduced the shortest cooldown on his grapple to 10 seconds, the longest cooldown, however, remained 35 seconds.

Not all players were happy, though, as Pathfinder’s improvements cannot exactly be termed a buff. If a player slides after a grapple, they can end up stacking a 42-second cooldown. The reason for this is that the cooldown comes into effect when the robot reaches his sprint speed. Sliding after a grapple increases the speed, which then leads to the cooldown not being triggered.

Other than that, the Aftermarket update gave Crypto’s drone the ability to open loot vaults, provided Crypto has a key in his inventory.

Yesterday’s hotfix patch will definitely help players to go back to enjoying the gameplay.
