The muddled situation of the 2021 Australian Open has led everyone to a constant state of unrest. Because it is believed that the major tournament will affect the entire ATP calendar, it becomes more strenuous. Luckily, some reports tell one what to expect in the first quarter of the next season.
A total of seven events will be postponed, including the first Grand Slam of the year. Additionally, for the first time in history, the qualifiers for the Australian Open will be held outside the country. Many players already anticipated this turnaround and are already training according to the conditions of the new location, which is Dubai.
The entirety of the reported schedule depends on the new dates of the Australian Open. On the other side, Tennis Australia is working consistently with ATP, WTA and Victoria’s government to reach the final verdict.

Events in the reported ATP 2021 calendar
The season will start with the Delray Beach Open in Florida from the first week of 2021 on January 4. Parallel to Delray Beach, Antalya in Turkey will host a new tennis tournament from January 7 till 13.
Following that, players will travel to Melbourne Park where the ATP Cup will take place in the first week of February. Alongside that, February will see two ATP 250 and two WTA 500 tournaments before the start of the Australian Open. After the opening Grand Slam of 2021 concludes, a WTA 250 event will commence.

Among the many cancelled or moved events are the BNP Paribas Open, Pune, New York and Rio de Janeiro. Meanwhile, the Miami Masters is standing strong on its scheduled dates – March 22 till April 4. It is expected that Miami will be the beginning of a normal ATP season. The WTA Tour has not yet made any conclusive decision regarding the next season.

Due to the uncertainty of Summer Events in Australia, the February tournaments have been moved to March. These are Rotterdam, Buenos Aires, and an additional new ATP 250 tournament in the first week of March (1-7). Following them will be Doha, Marseille and another new ATP 250 tournament starting from March 8–14. Next will be Acapulco and Dubai from March 15 till 21.
