Thanks to tennis prodigy Jannik Sinner, Italy bagged its debut Davis Cup in almost fifty years. While everybody is in awe with Sinner’s mesmerizing tennis strokes at the Davis Cup finals, the tennis legend raised his heartfelt thanks to colleague Matteo Arnaldi. Without Arnaldi’s help, it would have been quite difficult for Sinner to earn this victory.

While Sinner couldn’t defeat Djokovic during the Nitto ATP 2023 Finals, he compensated for his loss by finally taking down the world’s number-one Serbian tennis star in the singles and doubles semi-finals. Despite this overwhelming success, Jannik Sinner didn’t forget Matteo Arnaldi, who contributed to this victory equally.

While Sinner truly outshined every other tennis player at the tournament, he didn’t forget Matteo Arnaldi, whose victory against Alexei Popyrin gave Italy its first point.

Now, Sinner dropped a heartfelt thanks for Matteo’s tremendous performance for Italy. Sinner commented- “Huge thanks to Matteo. He’s had a very tough year with a lot of injuries. It means a lot to us that he came here for all of us. He gave us a lot of positive energy. Thanks Matteo. All the time, we kept everything together. Yesterday we were 1 point away from being out. Today we get to celebrate the win. We are very, very happy.”
