For Novak Djokovic, the pandemic has brought additional tensions. As the Serbian legend stands firm in his decision to remain unvaccinated, many major tournaments have decided to bar him from participation. First, he had walked out of the Australian Open, leaving his chance of winning his fourth consecutive title behind. And now, Djokovic will have to stay out of the US Open as well because of the same.
However, some people are voicing their thoughts in favor of the 21 times Grand Slam champion. One of the most prominent arguments put forth from the supporter’s side was by the senator of Texas state.

The US Open mayhem
Drew Springer took on Twitter to address how banning Djokovic from entering the Grand Slam over his vaccination status isn’t the right decision. He brought President Joe Biden under the microscope by writing, “Biden is banning Novak Djokovic from coming to the USA to play the US Open. But allows millions of unvaccinated illegals to flood across the border.”
Thereafter, he added, “Hey Joe, what’s one more unvaxed person?!?!” Speaking of Djokovic’s stand on the matter, he has chosen to be realistic. As he said, “I’m not vaccinated and I’m not planning to get vaccinated. So the only good news I can have is them removing the mandated green vaccine card or whatever you call it to enter [the] United States or exemption.”
