Swiss maestro Roger Federer is currently bidding for a record-breaking 21st Grand Slam title at Wimbledon Championships 2021. Besides that, he also supported home team Switzerland in the ongoing UEFA Euro 2020 from the beginning of the tournament. Since they lost to Spain in the quarterfinals now, the Basel-born congratulated them on their inspiring run.

Before the Euros began, Federer strongly believed that the trophy is coming home this year. Therefore, losing in on penalties in a drama-filled match must have been heartbreaking for all of Switzerland. Nevertheless, the former World No.1 tennis professional did not fail to appreciate their effort.
