Roger Federer made an impressive comeback at the French Open 2021. Playing against Denis Istomin in the very first round, Federer completely dominated the match and gave no chance to his opponent to bounce back. As a result, he thrashed Istomin in straight sets with the final scoreline of 6-2, 6-4, 6-3.
With the win, Federer extended his hegemony over Denis Istomin on the ATP Tour. He now leads the head-to-head battle 8-0 against him.
In the post-match interview, the Swiss maestro talked about how he spent the past 4-5 months. He was surely in immense pain before arriving in Paris. The former World No.1 even disclosed that he was on crutches and one can imagine how difficult it must have been for the 39-year-old to make a comeback from that situation.

Federer also admitted that he felt really nice during his break as he got some quality time to spend with his family. Even though he mentioned that he missed his friends, he highlighted that he worked really hard during the break so that he can play again.
