Carlos Alcaraz has etched his name into the history books of the US Open after claiming a semi-final spot with a thrilling win over Jannik Sinner. With a tough battle of five hours and 15 minutes, the youngster established a new all-time record at Flushing Meadows.

The Spaniard was at his brilliant best, winning 65% of points on his second serve, which was his biggest weapon in a match that frequently went back and forth; both players pushed each other to the limit. Eventually, Carlos defeated Jannik Sinner with a score of 6-3, 6-7 (7/9), 6-7 (0/7), 7-5, 6-3.

Carlos Alcaraz acknowledged the crowd for their unbelievable support

Once the match concluded, Alcaraz was living his dream and soaking in all the applause from the crowd; the kind he would cherish for years to come.

“Honestly, I still don’t know how I did, how I did it,” he said.

He further went on to say, “The level that I played, the level of the match. High-quality of tennis. I mean somebody will win the match today. I mean, Jannik Sinner is a great player. Everybody good to see at this level, just amazing. Honestly, it’s a thank you to all of you.
