Nick Kyrgios has performed extremely well in 2022. Earlier this year, he reached his first Grand Slam final at Wimbledon. Seeing his performance, it would not be farfetched to say that he is one of the most promising Australian players on the circuit right now. However, Kyrgios is planning to end his 2022 ATP season soon after wrapping up a few things. He indicated this through his Instagram story.
With improved rankings and a good on-court record for the year 2022, the Australian player is planning to take a rest for the remainder of the year now.

Nick Kyrgios hints at wrapping up the 2022 ATP season
The world no.20 had a smashing start to the year when he won the Australian Open doubles title with his partner, Thanasi Kokkinakis. Though it took him quite some time to win his first singles title this year, he managed to do it in the Citi Open. Interestingly, he also won the doubles at Citi Open with his partner Jack Sock.
Recently, the Australian player took to his Instagram story to indicate his break from the rest of the season. He stated, “Couple more checks to pick up and then done.”

Kyrgios reached the quarter-finals of the US Open, however, had to face a defeat there. The Australian player walked over during the quarter-finals of the Japan Open against Taylor Fritz. Eventually, Fritz went on to win the Japan Open against Frances Tiafoe.
