Distinct Change in Priorities for Daniil Medvedev as He Makes Emotional Wish for Future – ‘Hope I Can Be..’

Reaching so close to lifting the trophy at the Australian Open 2024, Daniil Medvedev yet again lost, this time to young Italian upstart Jannik Sinner. However, this loss did not seem to have lowered his confidence too much because it was still a new milestone he achieved at a grand slam. Beyond his professional achievements and ambitions, there are some personal things Medvedev wants to achieve as well.

After the brutal defeat, Medvedev talked about what his tennis and parenthood ambitions are and what he would like for his family, especially his children. Further, he also delved into his religious beliefs, evoking the Djoker.

In an interview, Daniil Medvedev was in a conversation about how he is very religious and matured as a person after becoming a parent. During the conversation, he also reflected on what he wants for his family, his children, and of course, the sport he loves.

Medvedev said, “I hope that my children can be proud of me, my wife can be proud of me. I hope I can be a good parent and on the other side, a good tennis player also.” Further, Medvedev also stated that he thinks this tournament is one of the things that adds to his family being proud of him.

He said, “I think this tournament is definitely in this category because there are some other ones, maybe where it’s less.” After discussing this, Daniil Medvedev reflected on his religious beliefs and how they are very similar to Novak Djokovic.

When the interviewer referred to how Daniil Medvedev and Novak Djokovic share the same religious beliefs, the Russian said, “It’s an important step in life. It’s an amazing emotion from the beginning till apparently, everyone says, till the end, till you die.” The similarity to note for both the players is that both of them got their kids baptized.
