Dominic Thiem Predicts When Certain Normalcy Will Return to Tennis in 2021

Although tennis is back to its normal schedule, normality has not come back completely. The coronavirus pandemic disrupted the complete schedule of 2020 and there is no certainty that the 2021 schedule will go as per plan. Recently, World No.3 Dominic Thiem expressed his views on the issue.
In a recent interview, Thiem emphasized that tennis would relatively be normal in 2021. However, he also believed that there would still be longer breaks due to the pandemic.
“That we can play through a year and I have the results again and continue the trend from 2020 and 2019. I hope that apart from tennis certain normalcy will return in 2021,” said the Austrian player.

Thiem clearly focussed on two issues. Firstly, he said that he would want to continue his good form even in 2021. Secondly, the 27-year-old firmly believed that tennis would get back to normal in 2021.

Thiem further revealed the time at which he hoped that everything would return to normal. He looked quite confident and optimistic in his reply.
“Maybe in summer or autumn 2021, you will have a reasonably normal life again,” added the US Open 2020 winner.

Thiem believed that people would be back to their routine by the summer or autumn of 2021. Maybe, one could even see fans in the stadiums by that time.
