Second seed Daniil Medvedev has reached the Wimbledon Championships 2021 third round after beating 18-year-old Carlos Alcaraz 6-4, 6-1, 6-2. Despite the uncomplicated scoreline, the match produced some exceptional rallies and point-making. Moreover, the battle involved the crowd on Court 1, who chose to support the young Spaniard.
Chiefly, at 3-5, Alcaraz recovered his break when Medvedev served for the opening set. This suddenly got the crowd going. However, immediately after, the Russian broke the Spaniard again to win the first set. Then, as a celebration, he pointed his finger towards his ears, taunting the fans in the house.
Inarguably, crowd interactions are one of the things that make sports entertaining. Ergo, Daniil enjoyed it every bit and even revealed why he rates British fans at the Wimbledon at the top.

“First of all, I love to interact with the fans. I feel like British fans in Wimbledon are the most, how we can call it, rational ones because they don’t have the favorites except, of course, Roger, Rafa, and Novak, which is normal. And they go for everybody,” Medvedev said.
