Abby Doherty is the lucky spectator who caught the racket that day. Doherty unintentionally also became a key player in this captivating auction. The emotional ties Djokovic fans have with the racket fueled an unprecedented bidding war. This ultimately made it the highest bid ever recorded for a tennis racket. And why not?
