‘I’m So Exhausted’- American Star Taylor Fritz Says He Doesn’t Have Any Time in the Day

Soaring heights ever since his 2022 Indian Wells triumph, Taylor Fritz has positioned himself as one of the most followed players in tournaments. Standing up to his fans’ expectations, he has also made sure to give his best shot in every tournament he plays.
Enjoying the bracket of a prominent player, Fritz rightly has numerous similarities to that of other prominent players while on the court. However, on the contrary, he is disparate from other players when off the court. Dropping light on the same, the 24-year-old recently opened up about his pre and post match engagements during tournaments.

Taylor Fritz gives a detailed account of his off-court engagements
Polishing himself for the US Open later this month, Fritz is currently in Cincinnati playing the Western & Southern Open. Following his 3rd round win over Andrey Rublev, the American headed for the press conference where he detailed his time off the court.
“Just don’t have time. I just don’t have time,” he started.

As mentioned earlier, Fritz makes sure to give his best shot in every tournament he plays. However, getting to his best not only involves on-court practice but also table work. Going ahead in the conversation, he asserted, “I spend probably more time like doing like table work and stuff like outside of the court to make sure that I’m ready to play than I’d say like — I wouldn’t think there is many players that spend more time.”
Over the years, numerous players have come out in public, opening up about their pre and post court sessions. Fritz was no different. Giving further details about his off court engagement, he said, “I do an hour on the physio table before every practice, before every warmup, 30 minutes in the gym. Just an hour and a half of stuff goes in to me even stepping on a court. And then I will do another hour and a half after the match, after the practices, ice baths.”

While Fritz admitted that he always has a jam-packed schedule during tournaments, he didn’t shy away from opening up about the things he would want to do if given time. Heading towards the end of the conversation, he asserted, “There is just not enough time in the day for me to be able to go do stuff. Even if there was, I’m so exhausted, like I just want to sit in my room.”

Over the past few years, sports entities have opened up about their newfound love for video games. Fritz was no different. Concluding his opinion, the World No.13 ended by saying, “If I get an hour of free time, I just want to play video games.”

Fritz’s confession has rightly been visible in his performance. Following his third-round win over Andrey Rublev, Fritz is now set to face the top seeded Daniil Medvedev in the hope of booking a spot in the final four of the Cincinnati Masters.
