Since it is the first time that tennis is returning to China after the pandemic, there is immense buzz around this tournament. This will be almost a 2-week event which will keep the tennis fans engaged and give tennis players a chance to come back in form after the US Open.
Among these players is Daniil Medvedev who stands out like every other time. In an interview, he candidly talked about how he is feeling with his quarter-finals just arriving in a few days!

Ahead of the tournament in China, Daniil is one of the players who is showing confidence about his form and playing style. He was recently in an interview where he mentioned that he thinks that tennis is a lot about how the court is and how the ball goes and reacts there.

Further, he also shared how he feels about playing in the tournament. He said, “In Asia, I have felt very confident you know. I have always played well. I was young and it was a fast court. I feel like a fish in the water in Asia.”

Medvedev has had a great record in the Asian tournaments. He won in the Tokyo tournament in the year 2018. He also has a record of winning in Shanghai in the year 2019. Not just in Asia, even in the US Open Daniil reached the finals against Novak Djokovic.
Even in the China Open, he has reached the quarter-finals now and will have his match on Monday. As of now, he has already defeated Tommy Paul in the first round with ease in Beijing and also Alex de Minaur.
