Coaches are the reason a player manages to reach new heights and win titles. Carlos Alcaraz is no different, and like every other player, he managed to become a grand slam champion with the help of his coach, Juan Carlos Ferrero. While the Spanish coach accompanied him to every tournament, he was not in Melbourne to guide him through each round. 

Alcaraz was eventually eliminated in the quarterfinal of the Australian Open but stuck around for the tournament. Now, he is back in his academy, reunited with his coach, and aiming to be the world’s number 1 once again.

The Spaniard has been facing a difficult time getting a good grasp on his skills since he won Wimbledon. With each proceeding tournament, Alcaraz has been exiting earlier and earlier. He did seem to get a grip in the ATP Finals, but the Australian Open saw him exit early as well. His coach did not accompany him in the Aussie slam, but the two are back together once again.

Ferrero Tennis Academy shared a video on their ‘X’ page of the Wimbledon champion playing rallies and practicing drills with his coach. “Welcome back @juankiferri. We’re so excited to see Juan Carlos training @carlosalcaraz again after his recovery🙌🏻 It’s time to prepare for the Latin American clay-court circuit! VAMOS TEAM🔥”.
