Matteo Berrettini Looks Dapper Along With His Brother at the Cannes Film Festival

Matteo Berrettini has had a steep rise to be among the best in men’s tennis. Turning pro in 2015, the Italian tennis star quickly made his way to be the best player in his country. Further, he had a memorable last season, notching up consistent performances in big tournaments. Additionally, he even reached the finals at Wimbledon, going down fighting against Novak Djokovic in the summit clash.

The Cannes Film Festival is currently underway in France. Celebrities from across the globe have made their presence felt at this gala event. Earlier this week, Matteo also attended this festival.

The Italian tennis star accompanied his younger brother Jacopo Berrettini at the Cannes Film Festival yesterday. The two looked dapper in their outfits as they walked across the red carpet confidently. While Jacopo wore a black suit over a white shirt, Matteo wore a contrasting outfit. He put on a white blazer over a black shirt.

Further, sharing a post on his official Instagram handle, Matteo said, “What an evening @festivaldecannes. Top Gun Maverick with Tom Cruise was amazing. Check it out if you get the chance!”

Coming to tennis, Matteo has had a mixed 2022 season. Earlier this year, he made it to the semifinals of the Australian Open before losing against the eventual champion, Rafael Nadal, in the last-four clash. Subsequently, he made early exits in Rio de Janeiro and Acapulco. Further, at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, Matteo went down fighting against Miomir Kecmanovic in the fourth round.

Matteo to miss the French Open 2022

After the tournament in Indian Wells, the 26-year-old suffered a right-hand injury that has kept him out of action since. Recently, he announced that he will skip the clay-court Grand Slam tournament after failing to regain full fitness. Talking about this, he said, “My hand is feeling great and I am working hard to build up my match fitness.”
