Monte-Carlo Masters: In-Form Grigor Dimitrov, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Daniel Evans Take Centerstage in Blockbuster Day 1 Schedule

The Monte-Carlo Masters, the first clay Master’s tournament of the year, is right around the corner. This tournament in France is the perfect opportunity for tennis lovers to get a break from constant hard-court tournaments. As the championship is about to begin, the first-round matches have been declared, which also feature some exciting bouts.
There are two main courts, along with an additional 19 courts, in the Monte Carlo Country Club, and they house some of the top talent in the ATP. Each court is filled to the brim with clashes that are bound to astound the audience in the stand.
Court Rainier III clashes feat. Stefanos Tsitsipas and Grigor Dimitrov

Court Rainier III is the main court in the Monte-Carlo Masters, which houses the two finals. Matches in the court will start at 11:00 am CET, and the first bout will be held between Felix Auger-Aliassime and the qualifier Luca Nardi. While a great match, many fans will look forward to the next clash. The second match will be played by the Miami Open finalist Grigor Dimitrov and wildcard Valentin Vacherot.

It will then be followed by another blockbuster player, Stefanos Tsitsipas, hoping to catch a break against Laslo Djere. The final match on the court will be the biggest clash of the day, as it will be played between Karen Khachanov and Cameron Norrie. The second, third, and fourth matches are bound to attract most of the viewers to the main court, but Court Des Princes has a good schedule set out for itself as well.

Court Des Princes matches feat. Ugo Humbert
The matches in Des Princes will begin at 11:00 am CET, and Daniel Evans and Sebastian Ofner will play the first match. Their match will be followed by Matteo Arnaldi vs qualifier Sumit Nagal. After their match, Arthur Fils and Adrian Mannarino play against each other, which sets up the audience for the major attractor of the day. Ugo Humbert will face qualifier Federico Coria and hope to give the crowd a good show.
Court 2
Court 2 will house both singles and doubles matches. At 11:00 am CET, Alexei Popyrin will play against the qualifier Corentin Moutet. which will be followed by a doubles match of Hugo Nys / Jan Zielinski against Wesley Koolhof / Nikola Mektic. The following match will be a singles bout between Roman Safiullin and qualifier Jaume Munar.

The final match on Court 2 will take place between the teams of Lorenzo Sonego / Jannik Sinner and Sander Gille / Joran Vliegen. Sinner is currently ranked 324 in doubles but managed to earn a wildcard to play in the Monte-Carlo Masters.
Court 11
Matches on court 11 will begin at 1:00 pm CET and will only house two doubles matches. The first one will be played by Lloyd Glasspool / Jean-Julien Rojer and the surprising partnership Taylor Fritz / Holger Rune. Their clash will be followed by Nicolas Jarry / Lorenzo Musetti against Maximo Gonzalez / Andres Molteni.

The bouts for the first day have been declared. Now, we only have to wait for them to arrive and light our screens.
