Tennis fans are quite excited about the return of Roger Federer at the Qatar Open 2021 next week. The Swiss Maestro will be making a comeback after almost 14 months on the court and it’ll be intriguing to watch him play. However, experts doubt whether he’ll be able to make a convincing comeback to the sport or not.
Recently, tennis legend Tim Henman claimed that it would not be easy for Roger Federer to make a successful return. He believes that his earlier level was so high that he would find it difficult to compete with that energy.
“His old level is so high, he’s not going to come back just to be making up the numbers,” said Henman.

The expert claimed even though Roger Federer is trying really hard for his comeback, it won’t be that easy. He mentioned that the legend would be forty this August, and age would certainly act as an obstacle for him.
The 46-year-old also accepted that Federer would not be making a comeback just for the numbers, but would also aim to win tournaments and majors.
“He wants to be back competing to win the biggest and best tournaments. And that’s not going to get any easier as you get close to your 40th birthday. But he’s working incredibly hard, I’m sure,” added the former World No.4.

“But they’re not going to be around forever. So it’s important that we do enjoy them while they’re still competing,” concluded Henman.
