“I’m going to try…to turn this around” – Medvedev’s game plan for Alcaraz
After making it to the finals of the tournament in a press conference, he opened up about how the 20-year-old should home against his Italian opponent in the semi-finals. He stated, “I saw Carlos today, he was playing pretty well, second and third set especially. I know what happened last year so I’m going to try my best to try to turn this around, to play better, to play stronger, more on the lines, hit more aces, stuff like this.”
On the other hand, he also highlighted how he is very hopeful that he will be able to get back and give a tough fight in the final fight. While the Spaniard won three out of their four meetings last year, one of their known battles was the 2023 Indian Wells final, so it will be interesting to see whether the Russian will take his revenge this year or if history will repeat itself.
