Novak Djokovic Sees the Lighter Side of Things as He Enjoys an Evening Out With Wife Jelena

Former World No. 1 Novak Djokovic has been one of the most talked-about players in recent times. The manner in which he has gone about his tennis in recent times has been exceptional. 

However, all has not been well in the Djokovic camp. He was not allowed to compete in the Australian Open due to health protocols not being followed. Not long ago, he parted ways with his longtime coach Marian Vajda.

Novak Djokovic makes an appearance in Belgrade

Recently, Djokovic was spotted with his wife Jelena at a restaurant in Belgrade. It was an unusual appearance as the couple do not really indulge in public appearance of such stature. 

They were seen dancing to various tunes, and the couple seemed very affectionate towards each other. After all the troubles that Novak has gone through off the court, one can understand his need to vent out a little.

Coming to tennis, Novak was most recently seen at the Dubai Tennis Championships this season. It was the first tournament he was competing in this year. Sadly, he was unable to go the distance and ended up losing in the early stages. 

Lost the top spot after a while

Due to that, he was unable to hold on to the top spot in the ATP Rankings. Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev became the new World No. 1 player. 

Coming on to Djokovic, he was unable to compete at the Australian Open this year. Due to that, he wasted his chance of being able to be the first player to win 10 titles in Melbourne.

On the contrary, Spanish tennis legend Rafael Nadal took advantage of Novak’s absence and ended up winning the first Grand Slam tournament of the season. He became the first man to win 21 Grand Slam titles.
