He played his fourth round at the Roland Garros and emerged victorious against Juan Pablo Varillas in a three-set match. The legendary tennis star will play against Karen Khachanov in the quarter-finals. As is the case in any other tournament, his fans are continuously rooting for him and showering him with best wishes. But today’s fourth-round victory is not the only victory that Novak has got to celebrate. With today’s win. Djokovic also surpassed one of Rafael Nadal’s records.

Even though Djokovic missed out on a lot of opportunities on the 2022 ATP Tour, his game never stopped getting better. And that showed today in the three-set match that he played against Juan. His undefeated sets during the match are a testimony of all the hard work he put into the sport for years.

With this win, he also surpassed Rafael Nadal’s record of having the most quarterfinals appearance at Roland Garros. The Tennis Podcast posted on Twitter highlighting the fact that Djokovic will now have more quarter-finals than Nadal on his resume. It is astounding to see someone surpass the legendary Nadal in anything that associates with Roland Garros.
