Novak Djokovic’s Wild Proposal for His ‘Brother’ Nick Kyrgios Amidst the Latter’s Gruesome Injury Struggles

During one of his best seasons, Nick Kyrgios locked horns with some of the top players on the ATP tour, including the Serbian tennis legend, Novak Djokovic. Since their Grand Slam final meeting, their relationship has blossomed, and it is further being described as a ‘bromance’. Notably, the 21-time singles Grand Slam champion has reportedly offered a “practice match” to his friend and rival, Kyrgios.
The news broke out when the Australian tennis star revealed his decision to pull out from the Adelaide International event. If Kyrgios accepts the proposal, then the warm-up match will be played before the upcoming Grand Slam event in Melbourne.

However, his friend and rival, Djokovic has reportedly made a “practice match” offer despite all the criticism.

The warm-up match would be played prior to the Grand Slam event in Melbourne if both players have an agreement on that. During a great season, Kyrgios locked horns in their previous meeting at the Centre Court, where Djokovic emerged victorious.
Djokovic was also asked about his practice match offer
The Serbian tennis player was recently featured in a press conference at Adelaide International. He was asked about the practice match offer to Kyrgios and whether it was true or not. The 21-time singles Grand Slam champion answered, “Yes, I chatted with Nick, and I would like to play with him, and he accepted, but he wants shorter sets. Let’s see if that works out.”

Djokovic also talked about the scheduling of the practice match with the Aussie tennis player. He said that they are also in talks with the Australian Open authorities. They have further asked them whether they can schedule a practice match prior to the Grand Slam event.
