In an interview, Carlos Moya, the head coach of Rafael Nadal suggested that the Spaniard did not suffer a major injury, but considering the Australian Open, it was risky to allow him to play there, making the withdrawal was necessary. But fortunately, he is slowly starting to get back on track and will return to training.
