‘Really Like to Get a Photo With Rafa’ – Novak Djokovic Says His Own Son Surprised Him With His Comments

In a recent interview, the ATP World No.1 Novak Djokovic stated that he will not take the vaccination to play any Grand Slam tournaments. Since then, many people are expressing their views on the whole situation surrounding the Serb. Ultimately, most people think that it’s not good for him and tennis.

Meanwhile, In a light-hearted moment, Djokovic revealed that his son Stefan is a big fan of 21-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal. Novak also revealed that Stefan would love to take a photo with Rafa in the future.

Novak Djokovic reveals his son’s favorite player

Recently, Novak Djokovic revealed some information about his son Stefan Djokovic’s tennis preferences. According to the Serb, Stefan was cheering for Rafael Nadal in the Australian Open final, as he would fist pump every time after Nadal won a point.

Novak Djokovic replied, “Yes, I mean, I hope so (laughs)” when asked if Stefan would support him against Rafa. Novak also revealed that his son wants to take a photo with Rafa.

“He asked me a few days ago, when was the next tournament Rafa was playing where I would be playing too. I said ‘hope very soon’ but asked him why. He said he would ‘really like to get a photo with Rafa,'” Novak revealed

It’s pretty evident that Rafael Nadal is Stefan’s favorite player to watch. However, it will be tough for the little kid when his father plays against Rafa in a match. 

When will Novak play next?

Despite the tough time that Novak suffered in Australia, he still remains adamant about not taking the vaccine. With Nadal winning his 21st Grand Slam Title in Australia, many thought Novak would get back at Rafa at the French Open in May. However, due to non-vaccination, Novak would have to probably skip both French Open and Wimbledon, unless there’s a rule change from the tournaments.

Meanwhile, Novak is ready to play his first tournament in 2022 in Dubai Tennis Championships, which will start on 21st February. The Serbian still remains the no.1 player in the world, even though he didn’t play in the Australian Open. No doubt, he would like to win the tournament in Dubai to remain at the top.
