The Swiss maestro has not only changed the face of tennis but millions of lives with his Roger Federer Foundation. Correspondingly, his new collaboration will help improve the quality of early education for children in South Africa.
Born in Basel town of Switzerland, the 39-year-old has a way of connecting with a global audience. That is how he continues to partner with people from various business verticals to serve a noble cause.
Recently, Federer announced a partnership with Educate A Child, a program of Education Above All Foundation. Here’s what they plan to do together.

“Partnerships between organizations are crucial to meet the global challenges in education and a chief substantial positive change,” Federer said.
Afterward, he revealed the merger of his foundation with Educate A Child program and its particulars.
“Together with Educate A Child program of Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, the Roger Federer Foundation could improve the quality of early education in 30 schools in South Africa and gift 20,000 children a better start into school,” he explained.

The 8-time Wimbledon champion has always believed in the cause of education and will continue his good work even after he retires. Roger summed up the video with, “I am very grateful for this impactful collaboration. I appreciate it.”

Federer and Nadal played for children’s education in Cape Town in 2020
Over the many years, Federer has undertaken many initiatives to promote and help education in South Africa. Famously, in 2020, his exhibition match with arch-rival Rafael Nadal in Cape Town raised $3.5 million for children’s education. Moreover, they even broke the match attendance record with a staggering turnout of 51,954 people.
